remember the inspiration.
I’ve been neglecting this space lately, and writing in general. I think it’s something all writers go through — staggered waves of filling up notebooks and not writing a single word. And that’s okay. It’s times like these when it’s important to remember and appreciate the little details, to remind yourself to inspire and feel inspired, too.
One of the reasons I started this blog was so that I would never forget that — to wake up every day looking for creativity, beauty and little things that make me happy. Lately, life has been full of lots of big decisions. What to do next year, where to go and who to go with. As much as I wish my family and friends could answer these things for me, I know that in the end, it’s up to me.
And in the midst of these kinds of decisions, I choose to find beauty in my surroundings and not rush anything. I choose to go to the beach for the weekend and bury my worries in the sand. I choose to follow the way I feel without looking back. As I reach into the dark ahead of me, I feel excited, nervous and terrified.
Cheers to life decisions and not feeling old enough to be making them. Cheers to jumping into the unknown and having no idea what will happen. And most of all, cheers to never forgetting the importance of inspiration — the undeniable joy of the little details in life.
